Metal AM Engineering & Production Support

From DfAM review and pilot builds to repeatable production, post-processing, and inspection, TigerHubs helps engineering teams turn metal 3D printed parts into qualified, production-ready components.

Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM)

Our engineering team optimizes metal AM designs for support strategy, thermal distortion, lattice structures, weight reduction, and part consolidation.

  • Metal AM topology optimization & lattice design
  • Support strategy and build-orientation review

Production Manufacturing Support

We support metal additive manufacturing from prototype approval into repeatable production, with build planning, batch scheduling, traceability, inspection documentation, and secondary finishing managed in one workflow.

  • Pilot runs, bridge production, and low-volume manufacturing
  • Batch traceability, inspection reports, and repeatable quality control

Post-Processing Services

Beyond printing, we provide metal-focused finishing including stress relief, heat treatment, support removal, CNC finishing, polishing, coating, and inspection.

  • Stress relief, HIP coordination & media blasting
  • CNC finishing, polishing, coating & passivation

Part Characteristics

When 3D Sand Casting Is the Right Answer?

If your part has…

Sand casting is the answer because…

  1. Internal channels or cavities

3D-printed cores handle any geometry. CNC tools can’t reach inside.

  2. Large dimensions (>500 mm)

Molds scale to 2+ meters. No machine bed limit.

  3. Thick walls or solid sections

Cost independent of wall thickness. No volume penalty.

  4. Low volume (1–50 units)

Zero tooling. One part costs the same as fifty.

  5. Wrought-grade density required

Gravity-poured, fully dense. No layer porosity.

  6. Frequent design iterations

Change CAD → reprint mold. No tooling to revise.

If it’s too big for CNC, too hollow for SLS, and too low-volume for tooling — it’s a sand casting part.
