Controlled and Traceable Molding

Approved resin grades, material batches and key molding parameters are controlled throughout production. Mold number, cavity number, production batch and inspection records remain traceable for repeat orders and issue investigation.

Inspection Based on Part Requirements

Critical dimensions, cosmetic surfaces and functional features are inspected against the approved drawing and master sample. Dimensional reports, CMM inspection, FAI, Cpk studies or PPAP documentation can be provided when specified for the project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn More
How much does injection molding cost?

Injection molding cost is mainly determined by tooling complexity, mold material, cavity count, part size, resin, surface finish, production volume and inspection requirements. The initial mold creates a higher upfront cost than processes such as CNC machining or 3D printing, but the unit cost normally decreases significantly as production volume increases. The most accurate way to estimate cost is to review the CAD model together with the expected lifetime production quantity.

What is the minimum order quantity for injection molding?

The practical minimum depends on the tooling strategy and commercial requirements. Prototype injection molds can support very small validation runs, while production tooling becomes more economical as quantity increases. TigerHubs evaluates tooling cost and piece-part economics together instead of applying one fixed MOQ to every program.

What injection molding materials are available?

Common materials include: ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PP, PE, HDPE, LDPE, PA, POM, PMMA, PBT, PET, TPU, TPE, PPS, PEEK and PEI. Additional grades can be evaluated based on strength, temperature, chemical resistance, appearance, electrical requirements and project-specific needs.

What is the recommended wall thickness for injection molded parts?

A common design reference is approximately 0.5–5.0 mm, depending on material and geometry. Uniform walls are generally preferred because large thickness changes can increase sink, warpage, cooling imbalance and cycle time.

How much draft does an injection molded part need?

A general starting range is approximately 0.5°–2.0° per side. Deep features, textured mold surfaces and certain materials may require greater draft. Final draft should be reviewed during DFM.

Can TigerHubs produce low-volume injection molded parts?

Low-volume injection molding can be used for pilot production, bridge manufacturing, product launches and demand validation before committing to long-life tooling or higher production volumes.

Can you produce T1 samples before mass production?

Yes. T1 sampling is a critical step in the TigerHubs tooling workflow. Initial molded parts can be reviewed for dimensions, appearance, mold filling, ejection, sink, warpage, flash, weld lines and functional requirements before repeat production begins.

Do you provide DFM before making the mold?

Yes. DFM review can evaluate wall thickness, draft, undercuts, gates, parting lines, ejection, ribs, bosses, cosmetic areas and critical dimensions before tooling release. The objective is to identify manufacturing risks while they are still easier and less expensive to change.

Can you manufacture multi-cavity injection molds?

Yes, multi-cavity and family-mold strategies can be evaluated when production requirements justify them. Cavity count depends on part geometry, annual volume, mold size, filling balance, required production rate and tooling budget.

Can you provide inserts and overmolding?

Insert molding and overmolding can be evaluated for compatible part designs and material combinations. These processes can integrate threads, electrical components, reinforcing elements, grips, seals or other functions into the molded component.
